Due to continued expansion we are now looking to recruit a full time Deli Counter Supervisor.

Working 5 days over 7 you will be responsible for the customer service based daily operation of our deli section. You should hold relevant Food Hygiene and Food Safety qualifications and have previous supervisory experience within the retail food industry.

You will be of a pleasant disposition, hygiene conscious, trustworthy, reliable and possess a keen eye for detail.

Job Description

Job Title: Deli Counter Supervisor                                            

Reports to: Retail Manager

Hours of Work & Salary

  • Rota hours between Monday to Sunday, 6am to 7pm
  • Needs of the Business as defined by the line Manager
  • Salary – as advised


  • To deliver exemplary Counter display and Customer Service always
  • To deliver efficiencies and standards consistently as set within EOC guidelines and timelines
  • To work within the Team driving Sales and future growth within the Business

 Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To deliver counter and retail space product availability to exceed Customer demand
  • To exceed Sales budgets for the Deli Counter, Hot Food and Sundries
  • To coach the team in upselling and add-on sales
  • To launch new products monthly in line with events and Seasonal change, de-listing slow selling products
  • To manage stock levels of Food and packaging meeting but not exceeding Sales/usage predictions
  • To ensure all aspects of EOC Food Safety is maintained always and to include staff training, staff presentation and food rotation
  • To ensure Waste is recorded accurately and measures taken to reduce this
  • To implement a daily/weekly programme of Sampling; counter tray and sampling stand
  • To ensure the team adhere to EOC Health and Safety; PPE and staff dress standards
  • To mentor, encourage and motivate the team
  • Mentor New Starters through the probationary period
  • Carry out training with New Starters and monitor ongoing progress through performance
  • Work with other Supervisors and Managers to deliver NPD
  • To carry out any other tasks as requested or are needs of the business

This is position is Shop based but may require some travel to other Business units as and when required.
